Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Mineral Products, Metal Products & Machinery and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 9.95% or 4.86 points to trade at 53.70 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) added 8.53% or 15.00 points to end at 190.80 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) was up 4.52% or 0.55 points to 12.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG), which lost 5.93% or 4.00 points to trade at 63.50 in late trade. Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KCAER) declined 4.41% or 2.25 points to end at 48.80 and Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) shed 3.62% or 2.30 points to 61.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 290 to 264 and 17 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.28% or 30.15 to $2,383.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.21% or 1.73 to hit $76.55 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.15% or 1.77 to trade at $80.60 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 32.98, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 35.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.10.
