Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Real Estate Investments and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA), which rose 4.05% or 0.46 points to trade at 11.81 at the close. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 3.30% or 0.54 points to end at 16.91 and Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA) was up 2.82% or 0.44 points to 16.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY), which lost 6.45% or 18.75 points to trade at 272.00 in late trade. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 5.19% or 2.36 points to end at 43.08 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) shed 2.70% or 5.40 points to 194.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 357 to 209 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.55% or 14.61 to $2,655.39 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.31% or 1.63 to hit $69.08 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.68% or 1.24 to trade at $72.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 34.99, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 36.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 106.61.
