Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Tourism, Transport and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.12% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which rose 6.83% or 6.65 points to trade at 104.00 at the close. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) added 6.05% or 0.480 points to end at 8.420 and Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) was up 5.18% or 0.100 points to 2.030 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which lost 3.25% or 0.250 points to trade at 7.450 in late trade. Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) declined 2.61% or 0.130 points to end at 4.850 and Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) shed 2.54% or 0.030 points to 1.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 176 to 175 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.04% or 14.00 to $1338.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.32% or 0.87 to hit $65.27 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 0.99 to trade at $69.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.14% to 3.7921, while EUR/TRY rose 0.52% to 4.6857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 89.34.
