Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Tourism and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.05% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were 1000 Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:BINHO), which rose 9.95% or 38.25 points to trade at 422.50 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) added 9.94% or 1.60 points to end at 17.69 and EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) was up 9.75% or 5.25 points to 59.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS), which lost 4.84% or 26.50 points to trade at 521.00 in late trade. AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) declined 4.82% or 22.50 points to end at 444.00 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) shed 4.64% or 14.00 points to 287.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 387 to 164 and 22 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.31% or 7.65 to $2,467.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.14% or 0.11 to hit $81.33 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.10 to trade at $84.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 33.06, while EUR/TRY fell 0.46% to 36.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 103.75.
