Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Insurance and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY), which rose 10.00% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.54 at the close. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) added 5.32% or 3.20 points to end at 63.40 and Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji AS (IS:AKFYE) was up 4.98% or 0.94 points to 19.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 4.40% or 3.20 points to trade at 69.60 in late trade. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) declined 4.12% or 1.00 points to end at 23.26 and Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) shed 3.48% or 0.45 points to 12.47.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 340 to 215 and 24 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.87% or 51.44 to $2,705.26 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.32% or 0.93 to hit $69.36 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.12% or 0.82 to trade at $72.70 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 34.87, while EUR/TRY rose 0.06% to 36.63.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 106.59.
