Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 2.38% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.860 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) added 2.13% or 0.050 points to end at 2.400 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 1.98% or 0.007 points to 0.360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 2.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.100 in late trade. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) declined 2.30% or 0.400 points to end at 17.000 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 1.27% or 0.010 points to 0.780.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.59% or 0.25 to $42.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $45.25 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.54 to trade at $1252.34 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2595, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6460.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.26.
