Toys R Us is making a return to the high street after signing a deal with WH Smith (LON:SMWH) to open concessions in its stores.
According to a report from Toyworld, nine concessions will open in the first half of 2023, with the toy shop making a return five years after it closed.
Included in the concessions will be toys and games and, if successful, will be rolled out across more WH Smith locations.
Toys R Us disappeared from the UK high street in 2018 when it plunged into administration, although it re-opened online last month in the UK.
Last month, WH Smith reported a bounce back in travel sales as its stores in the travel locations, such as airports, grew after covid restrictions were eased.
