Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Oil, Gas & Electricity and Auto sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) added 10.00% or 1.90 points to end at 20.90 and Meiloon Industrial Co Ltd (TW:2477) was up 9.93% or 3.45 points to 38.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Lien Chang Electronic Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:2431) declined 8.57% or 1.65 points to end at 17.60 and Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321) shed 8.36% or 1.50 points to 16.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.76% or 0.51 to $67.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.66% or 0.47 to hit $71.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 13.15 to trade at $2,794.25 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.15% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.15.
