Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Chung Hung Steel Corp (TW:2014) added 10.00% or 1.95 points to end at 21.45 and Hai Kwang Enterprise Corp (TW:2038) was up 10.00% or 1.75 points to 19.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CX Technology Corp (TW:2415), which lost 9.93% or 3.45 points to trade at 31.30 in late trade. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Elite Advanced Laser Corp (TW:3450) shed 7.83% or 15.50 points to 182.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.35% or 0.92 to $69.10 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.43% or 1.02 to hit $72.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 10.60 to trade at $2,678.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.11% to 31.62, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 100.09.
