Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Glass, Transport and Optoelectronic sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.24% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Favite Inc (TW:3535) added 10.00% or 5.30 points to end at 58.30 and Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) was up 10.00% or 1.65 points to 18.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Iron Force Industrial Co Ltd (TW:2228) declined 4.90% or 6.00 points to end at 116.50 and JSL Construction & Development Co Ltd (TW:2540) shed 4.38% or 4.30 points to 93.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.34% or 0.24 to $69.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.38% or 0.28 to hit $74.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.50 to trade at $2,745.40 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.28% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.36% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 103.75.
