Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Services, Other Electronic and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were HiTi Digital Inc (TW:3494), which rose 100.51% or 7.92 points to trade at 15.80 at the close. Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:3029) added 10.00% or 10.50 points to end at 115.50 and HTC Corp (TW:2498) was up 10.00% or 4.30 points to 47.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593), which lost 9.91% or 0.79 points to trade at 7.18 in late trade. Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW:2722) declined 9.87% or 3.75 points to end at 34.25 and Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) shed 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.42% or 0.29 to $69.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $72.70 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.35 to trade at $2,648.95 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.10% to 32.48, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 107.03.
