Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which fell 1.10% or 2.3 points to trade at 206.2 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) fell 1.18% or 4.0 points to end at 335.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 1.27% or 1.7 points to 132.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 4.50% or 5.60 points to trade at 118.90 in late trade. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) declined 4.45% or 11.2 points to end at 240.4 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) shed 4.27% or 7.5 points to 168.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 370 to 70 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.06% or 0.51 to $47.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.53% or 0.83 to hit $53.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.01% or 11.00 to trade at $1097.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.4345, while USD/SEK fell 1.07% to 8.4954.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.85% at 96.52.
