Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 1.11% or 1.00 points to trade at 91.20 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 0.10% or 0.10 points to end at 104.30 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) was down 0.09% or 0.3 points to 337.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which lost 4.20% or 7.5 points to trade at 171.2 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.72% or 1.60 points to end at 41.37 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) shed 3.45% or 8.2 points to 229.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 295 to 143 and 2 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.76% or 1.69 to $43.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.78% or 1.42 to hit $49.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 4.60 to trade at $1108.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.5769, while USD/SEK fell 0.25% to 8.6664.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 97.20.
