Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs), which rose 1.31% or 3.3 points to trade at 255.5 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 0.54% or 1.6 points to end at 298.6 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.46% or 1.4 points to 304.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 1.74% or 2.40 points to trade at 135.90 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 1.64% or 4.7 points to end at 282.1 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) shed 1.50% or 4.8 points to 315.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 364 to 313 and 75 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.46 to $47.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.28% or 0.64 to hit $49.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1281.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.25% to 9.7464, while USD/SEK rose 0.55% to 8.6636.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 96.80.
