Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 3.34% or 5.80 points to trade at 179.60 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.77% or 6.60 points to end at 244.80 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.61% or 0.93 points to 36.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which lost 3.13% or 7.7 points to trade at 238.3 in late trade. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 2.08% or 6.0 points to end at 281.8 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 1.56% or 1.25 points to 78.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 361 to 251 and 52 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.61% or 2.28 to $51.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 4.96% or 2.57 to hit $54.41 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.35 to trade at $1169.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.61% to 9.8325, while USD/SEK rose 0.15% to 9.2447.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 101.19.
