Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.56% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 1.09% or 0.51 points to trade at 47.17 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.10% or 0.06 points to end at 61.26 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was down 0.18% or 0.3 points to 167.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 5.33% or 1.15 points to trade at 20.41 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 4.71% or 4.40 points to end at 89.05 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) shed 2.53% or 4.9 points to 189.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 523 to 72 and 27 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.61% or 0.30 to $48.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.61% or 0.31 to hit $50.23 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.87% or 11.15 to trade at $1287.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.34% to 9.3166, while USD/SEK fell 0.61% to 8.2570.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 94.45.
