Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 7.84% or 1.63 points to trade at 22.41 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 0.77% or 1.20 points to end at 156.50 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.11% or 0.07 points to 62.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which lost 2.21% or 2.3 points to trade at 102.0 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 2.11% or 4.2 points to end at 195.1 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) shed 2.07% or 1.65 points to 77.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 358 to 206 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.29% or 0.66 to $50.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.09% or 0.57 to hit $51.94 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.83% or 10.45 to trade at $1272.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 9.2574, while USD/SEK rose 0.83% to 8.1774.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 94.01.
