Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 6.75% or 7.40 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 4.54% or 10.1 points to end at 232.8 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 3.19% or 3.30 points to 106.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which added 0.16% or 0.15 points to trade at 96.55 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 0.35% or 0.50 points to end at 142.50 and TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN) gained 0.68% or 0.33 points to 49.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 355 to 69 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.99% or 1.78 to $57.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.55% or 0.98 to hit $62.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1169.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.23% to 9.2546, while USD/SEK rose 0.78% to 8.3529.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 96.29.
