Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.70% or 1.79 points to trade at 39.90 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.83% or 3.75 points to end at 101.70 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 3.73% or 5.4 points to 150.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 0.40% or 1.2 points to trade at 301.0 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 0.23% or 0.20 points to end at 86.40 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) gained 0.32% or 0.8 points to 253.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 394 to 217 and 54 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.66% or 0.29 to $44.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $45.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.94% or 25.35 to trade at $1279.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.12% to 9.9686, while USD/SEK rose 1.06% to 9.0327.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 97.83.
