Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.84% or 1.87 points to trade at 40.50 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 4.06% or 1.45 points to end at 37.13 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 3.47% or 3.46 points to 103.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.40% or 2.65 points to trade at 75.35 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.38% or 0.95 points to end at 68.05 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 1.22% or 2.6 points to 210.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 309 to 305 and 60 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.68% or 0.35 to $52.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.08% or 0.59 to hit $55.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.83% or 9.75 to trade at $1168.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.8171, while USD/SEK fell 0.36% to 9.1554.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 100.48.
