Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa), which rose 2.67% or 2.15 points to trade at 82.80 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 2.39% or 1.90 points to end at 81.25 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 1.85% or 0.89 points to 48.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which lost 3.00% or 5.4 points to trade at 174.4 in late trade. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 1.39% or 1.9 points to end at 134.8 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 1.23% or 2.30 points to 184.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 319 to 277 and 52 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.15% or 0.54 to $46.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.46% or 0.72 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1320.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.52% to 9.5218, while USD/SEK rose 0.84% to 8.5377.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.96.
