Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.98% or 3.00 points to trade at 103.70 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.91% or 3.7 points to end at 130.7 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 2.13% or 6.5 points to 312.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 5.36% or 11.00 points to trade at 194.10 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 4.19% or 1.79 points to end at 40.91 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.34% or 0.68 points to 28.36.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 312 to 283 and 70 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.99% or 0.49 to $49.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.91% or 0.46 to hit $50.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1269.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.17% to 9.8778, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 9.0314.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 98.70.
