Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.58% or 6.4 points to trade at 254.5 at the close. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 2.04% or 5.0 points to end at 249.6 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.62% or 2.00 points to 125.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 2.21% or 0.91 points to trade at 40.19 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.28% or 1.60 points to end at 123.50 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 1.07% or 1.7 points to 157.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 267 to 171 and 6 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.93% or 1.38 to $45.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.96% or 2.06 to hit $50.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.30 to trade at $1090.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.4750, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.6434.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 97.50.
