Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 8.11% or 4.86 points to trade at 64.81 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 4.63% or 3.15 points to end at 71.25 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.70% or 5.40 points to 151.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 0.78% or 0.65 points to trade at 82.80 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) added 0.12% or 0.2 points to end at 167.1 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) gained 0.41% or 0.50 points to 121.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 372 to 204 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.21% or 0.10 to $48.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.37 to hit $49.46 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1287.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.45% to 9.3554, while USD/SEK rose 0.13% to 8.3224.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 94.79.
