Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.19% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 4.80% or 2.20 points to trade at 47.00 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 4.36% or 2.96 points to end at 70.88 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 3.64% or 5.50 points to 156.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which lost 0.86% or 2.30 points to trade at 263.60 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 0.16% or 0.20 points to end at 91.50 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) gained 0.21% or 0.06 points to 28.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 544 to 225 and 82 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.16% or 0.13 to $82.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.23% or 0.20 to hit $85.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.20 to trade at $2,417.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.71% to 11.48, while USD/SEK rose 0.28% to 10.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.82.
