Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.82% or 13.10 points to trade at 477.40 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 2.70% or 1.30 points to end at 47.50 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 2.63% or 5.50 points to 215.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 3.12% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.74 in late trade. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 1.07% or 10.20 points to end at 941.80 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 0.47% or 0.15 points to 31.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 414 to 376 and 67 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.37% or 0.25 to $67.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.39% or 0.28 to hit $71.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 18.61 to trade at $2,662.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.30% to 11.54, while USD/SEK rose 1.14% to 11.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 106.46.
