Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.29% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 4.00% or 47.5 points to trade at 1235.5 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 3.82% or 0.29 points to end at 7.88 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.64% or 11.10 points to 315.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which lost 0.92% or 1.8 points to trade at 189.2 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.79% or 0.53 points to end at 66.67 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.57% or 0.65 points to 113.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 350 to 285 and 46 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.34% or 0.23 to $67.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $73.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1307.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 10.6495, while USD/SEK rose 0.51% to 8.8991.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 92.44.
