Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 5.12% or 4.50 points to trade at 93.10 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 2.94% or 51.00 points to end at 1,784.50 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) was up 2.54% or 0.66 points to 26.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 2.09% or 0.13 points to trade at 6.18 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.21% or 1.35 points to end at 110.25 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 0.77% or 0.24 points to 31.09.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 462 to 294 and 79 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.75% or 1.35 to $78.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.79% or 1.43 to hit $81.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 15.65 to trade at $2,495.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 11.55, while USD/SEK rose 0.45% to 10.51.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 102.72.
