Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which rose 4.77% or 3.50 points to trade at 77.30 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 2.06% or 2.25 points to end at 111.50 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.00% or 29.00 points to 1,475.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which lost 0.39% or 0.90 points to trade at 232.80 in late trade. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 0.37% or 2.20 points to end at 593.20 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 0.23% or 0.40 points to 148.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 595 to 202 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.65% or 1.90 to $73.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.34% or 1.75 to hit $76.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 32.61 to trade at $2,673.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 11.44, while USD/SEK rose 0.79% to 11.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.79% at 109.15.
