Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 3.22% or 14.20 points to trade at 454.70 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 2.74% or 4.30 points to end at 161.20 and Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) was up 2.21% or 0.15 points to 6.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which lost 2.17% or 0.68 points to trade at 30.64 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 2.10% or 35.00 points to end at 1,628.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 1.55% or 0.52 points to 33.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 485 to 279 and 86 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.21% or 2.16 to $69.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.72% or 1.92 to hit $72.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.43% or 36.35 to trade at $2,578.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 11.41, while USD/SEK fell 0.46% to 10.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 101.50.
