Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which rose 3.11% or 0.74 points to trade at 24.50 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 3.08% or 1.94 points to end at 64.94 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 2.86% or 0.78 points to 28.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which lost 2.16% or 13.00 points to trade at 587.80 in late trade. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) declined 1.19% or 0.60 points to end at 48.20 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 0.62% or 1.20 points to 193.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 400 to 382 and 78 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.98% or 0.79 to $81.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.87% or 0.73 to hit $85.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 10.10 to trade at $2,341.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 11.24, while USD/SEK fell 0.25% to 10.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 105.18.
