Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 8.87% or 12.20 points to trade at 149.20 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 3.79% or 3.90 points to end at 105.40 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.93% or 7.90 points to 277.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 14.61% or 15.20 points to trade at 88.70 in late trade. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 4.66% or 51.00 points to end at 1,044.50 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) shed 2.66% or 6.30 points to 230.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 421 to 344 and 71 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.84% or 1.29 to $71.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.80% or 1.34 to hit $75.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $2,748.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.30% to 11.46, while USD/SEK rose 0.45% to 10.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.06.
