Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 4.38% or 1.90 points to trade at 46.20 at the close. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 3.11% or 7.70 points to end at 253.50 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 2.64% or 4.40 points to 169.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which lost 9.41% or 2.49 points to trade at 23.98 in late trade. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 3.96% or 0.24 points to end at 5.79 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) shed 1.40% or 1.30 points to 87.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 421 to 348 and 81 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.13% or 0.11 to $82.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.12 to hit $86.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.67% or 38.95 to trade at $2,372.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.38% to 11.32, while USD/SEK fell 0.89% to 10.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 104.90.
