Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 2.82% or 7.50 points to trade at 273.80 at the close. Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) added 2.78% or 2.80 points to end at 103.60 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 2.70% or 9.20 points to 350.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which lost 3.09% or 1.60 points to trade at 50.30 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.08% or 17.50 points to end at 1,598.50 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.80% or 2.70 points to 336.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 461 to 305 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.52% or 1.12 to $74.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.34% or 1.04 to hit $78.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 5.90 to trade at $2,673.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.24% to 11.38, while USD/SEK rose 0.82% to 10.39.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 102.36.
