Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 4.69% or 0.29 points to trade at 6.39 at the close. Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) added 4.02% or 1.11 points to end at 28.75 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) was up 3.03% or 1.50 points to 49.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which lost 5.35% or 13.80 points to trade at 243.30 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.16% or 20.50 points to end at 1,753.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 0.45% or 0.14 points to 31.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 420 to 343 and 78 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.59% or 1.20 to $74.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.56% or 1.24 to hit $78.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.50 to trade at $2,543.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.58% to 11.43, while USD/SEK fell 0.97% to 10.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.80.
