Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 3.60% or 2.36 points to trade at 67.90 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) added 2.16% or 0.13 points to end at 6.19 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 1.76% or 4.80 points to 278.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which lost 1.46% or 1.50 points to trade at 100.95 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 1.42% or 3.10 points to end at 215.80 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) shed 1.42% or 1.30 points to 86.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 391 to 386 and 76 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.07% or 0.89 to $82.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.94% or 0.81 to hit $85.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.44% or 34.60 to trade at $2,363.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.35% to 11.43, while USD/SEK rose 0.86% to 10.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 104.61.
