Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 2.15% or 7.40 points to trade at 351.40 at the close. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 1.66% or 4.20 points to end at 257.70 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.57% or 3.40 points to 220.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which lost 1.21% or 0.80 points to trade at 65.22 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 1.01% or 2.00 points to end at 195.80 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) shed 0.99% or 1.70 points to 169.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 394 to 369 and 84 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $83.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.13% or 0.11 to hit $87.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 3.10 to trade at $2,366.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 11.35, while USD/SEK rose 0.15% to 10.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 104.81.
