Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.68% or 17.50 points to trade at 325.50 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 4.90% or 2.40 points to end at 50.90 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.96% or 2.80 points to 146.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which lost 9.27% or 21.50 points to trade at 210.40 in late trade. Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) declined 4.85% or 1.58 points to end at 31.02 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) shed 0.92% or 14.50 points to 1,562.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 439 to 336 and 73 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.38% or 0.97 to $71.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.42% or 1.04 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 20.55 to trade at $2,673.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.29% to 11.29, while USD/SEK fell 0.68% to 10.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.27.
