Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which rose 6.16% or 7.30 points to trade at 125.75 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 2.57% or 3.90 points to end at 155.60 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.49% or 2.50 points to 103.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 1.91% or 2.00 points to trade at 100.40 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 1.70% or 1.30 points to end at 73.60 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 1.52% or 1.75 points to 113.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 379 to 365 and 86 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.34% or 0.24 to $70.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $74.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 17.20 to trade at $2,708.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was unchanged 0.01% to 11.41, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 10.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.54.
