Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.39% or 2.40 points to trade at 102.40 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) added 2.11% or 19.80 points to end at 960.00 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.98% or 32.00 points to 1,645.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which lost 8.44% or 6.90 points to trade at 74.80 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.84% or 2.60 points to end at 138.80 and Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) shed 1.66% or 0.11 points to 6.33.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 425 to 328 and 75 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.23% or 0.16 to $70.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $74.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 7.05 to trade at $2,685.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.79% to 11.42, while USD/SEK rose 0.95% to 10.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.28.
