Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which rose 8.54% or 1.88 points to trade at 23.90 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) added 4.08% or 3.29 points to end at 83.84 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was up 3.28% or 20 points to 630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which lost 7.64% or 12.00 points to trade at 145.00 in late trade. Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) declined 5.99% or 9.35 points to end at 146.65 and Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) shed 5.87% or 8.80 points to 141.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.77% or 0.33 to $42.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.99% or 0.45 to hit $44.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.75 to trade at $1346.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.8820, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.8017.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.16.
