Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL), which rose 24.40% or 9.20 points to trade at 46.90 at the close. Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC (CM:SOY) added 14.29% or 50.00 points to end at 399.90 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was up 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which lost 15.64% or 231.70 points to trade at 1250.00 in late trade. Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) declined 9.09% or 0.100 points to end at 1.000 and Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC (CM:BREW) shed 8.91% or 49.00 points to 501.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.39% or 0.20 to $52.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.73% or 0.42 to hit $58.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.82 to trade at $1282.38 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.03% to 202.570, while USD/LKR fell 0.06% to 153.545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 93.50.
