Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Land & Property, Power & Energy and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) added 16.67% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.7000 and Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC (CM:ASPH) was up 16.00% or 48.00 points to 348.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD), which lost 12.90% or 200.00 points to trade at 1350.00 in late trade. Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) declined 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF) shed 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 68 and 52 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.89% or 0.52 to $57.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.63% or 0.40 to hit $63.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.50 to trade at $1275.80 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.60% to 206.240, while USD/LKR fell 0.04% to 153.590.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 93.25.
