Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Diversified Holdings, Land & Property and Power & Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Lankem Developments PLC (CM:LDEV) added 14.71% or 0.500 points to end at 3.900 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 14.29% or 0.1000 points to 0.8000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU), which lost 10.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.900 in late trade. Tea Smallholder Factories PLC (CM:TSML) declined 7.63% or 2.80 points to end at 33.90 and Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC (CM:BREW) shed 7.51% or 41.50 points to 511.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 126 to 57 and 46 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.61% or 0.29 to $47.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.65% or 0.34 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1292.80 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.22% to 196.285, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 152.990.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.10.
