Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.61% or 0.142 points to trade at 2.674 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 4.07% or 0.41 points to end at 10.36 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 3.70% or 1.05 points to 29.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which lost 1.37% or 0.27 points to trade at 19.49 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.24% or 0.01 points to end at 4.94 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 35.52.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 46 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.16% or 0.40 to $34.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.65% or 0.53 to hit $31.62 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1240.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1029, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.7909.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 97.42.
