Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which rose 2.97% or 0.760 points to trade at 26.345 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 2.21% or 0.555 points to end at 25.700 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was up 1.58% or 0.210 points to 13.495 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which lost 3.82% or 0.358 points to trade at 9.007 in late trade. Ferrovial (MC:FER) declined 2.33% or 0.430 points to end at 18.020 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) shed 2.31% or 0.260 points to 11.015.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.69 to $1283.19 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.30 to trade at $57.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1755, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
