Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which rose 7.11% or 1.64 points to trade at 24.72 at the close. Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI) added 2.88% or 0.03 points to end at 1.14 and Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:REDE) was up 2.73% or 0.45 points to 16.93 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which lost 2.92% or 0.57 points to trade at 18.94 in late trade. Indra A (BME:IDR) declined 2.76% or 0.46 points to end at 16.19 and Acciona (BME:ANA) shed 2.49% or 3.00 points to 117.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 65 and 31 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.74% or 48.80 to $2,752.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.73% or 0.50 to hit $69.11 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.64% or 0.46 to trade at $72.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.80% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.00.
