Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 2.46% or 0.580 points to trade at 24.140 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 1.21% or 0.760 points to end at 63.500 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.94% or 0.21 points to 22.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 3.79% or 0.450 points to trade at 11.430 in late trade. Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) declined 2.82% or 0.103 points to end at 3.547 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) shed 2.11% or 0.088 points to 4.080.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 117 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.67% or 8.70 to $1314.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $67.94 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $73.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1982, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.31.
