Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 2.40% or 1.410 points to trade at 60.200 at the close. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) added 1.41% or 0.390 points to end at 28.140 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.83% or 0.17 points to 21.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Santander (MC:SAN), which lost 1.23% or 0.070 points to trade at 5.641 in late trade. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 1.22% or 0.325 points to end at 26.400 and Indra A (MC:IDR) shed 1.16% or 0.140 points to 11.905.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 83 and 18 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.08% or 13.75 to $1282.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.59% or 1.44 to hit $57.08 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.90% or 1.80 to trade at $63.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1607, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 94.69.
