Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.06% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 3.02% or 0.56 points to trade at 19.08 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) added 1.45% or 0.350 points to end at 24.450 and Acciona (MC:ANA) was up 1.31% or 0.940 points to 72.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which lost 3.63% or 0.064 points to trade at 1.700 in late trade. Bankinter (MC:BKT) declined 0.96% or 0.075 points to end at 7.700 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) shed 0.81% or 0.105 points to 12.880.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 77 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 13.47 to $1352.47 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $49.11 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.13 to trade at $54.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.81% to 1.2014, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.9186.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 91.56.
